To provide safe, clean, reliable, efficient and courteous transportation services to the citizens of Chillicothe to get from where they are to where they want to go. Transit Staff are committed to delivering these services in a professional, courteous, and helpful manner.
Chillicothe Transit System (CTS) started offering services in 1982. The city passed a one-tenth of one percent operating levy in 1981 for the funding of the system and has successfully submitted and received Federal and State funding for the operations and capital as well. The CTS service area is within city limits as well as routes in surrounding Ross County under contract with South Central Ohio Job and Family Services. CTS operates fixed routes, paratransit services, County routes and contract services.
